Jennifer Harmon is the Schrifthof’s guest artist for November 2021. Take a walk through the crisp fall air through Karlsruhe’s Ost Stadt and swing by the Schrifthof, a workshop studio for experimental calligraphy, artistic writing and book making. While you’re there you can take a quick peak into the landscape fantasy world that Jennifer created with her towers and Cyanotypes.

Over the years during her travels and now, especially through the pandemic, Jennifer has referred to her practice of painting small plein air watercolors. A combination of not being able to travel and having a surplus of time made the surrounding landscapes of the Kraichtal region of Baden-Württemburg a perfect environment to paint. The exhibit in the garden featured 31 of her Watercolor Paintings, and collectively were well received.
